Do you know all life existing on the planet? From microorganisms to huge animals and plants? Ecosystems, the diversity of how life manifests itself in the world? In Biodiversity Working Group, we discuss how international negotiation processes regarding biodiversity conservation happens, besides discussing locally what youth can do in daily life to strengthen this agenda, especially by raising awareness of society.

Goals: Strengthen the debate on biodiversity conservation, understanding the processes of international negotiation and developing capacities of young people to act locally.

Climate change is here. The increase of extreme climate events, such as strong rains, prolonged droughts, snowstorms, and heat waves, proves that. A brief internet research shows people that believe and fight against climate change and those who think it is not a real thing and try to delegitimize our actions and efforts. In this Working Group, we
are open to debate about what are the possible solutions to fight against climate change, in an individual level, with habits and behavior change, to a governmental level, where public policies and decisions are made that directly affects our lives.

Goals: Strengthen Brazilian youth participation in decision-making processes related to climate agenda, in local, national and international level. Also, improve our knowledge in the theme and debate openly about what have been happening in Brazil and in the world.

It seems far away but it is not. Cities need to be occupied by people, their wishes and needs. In this Working Group, we deal with the Habitat Agenda (agenda of cities) on the perspective of the individual, seeking to strengthen debates about being an essential part of cities construction and improvement. You can and need to occupy places of collective improvement of cities on local, national and international levels, bringing our demands and voices as youth.

Goals: Reinforce debates about sustainable cities and how we can contribute, as youth, to the development of places we circulate in, work and use in a daily basis.

The gender agenda is, more than ever, urgent. Understanding what underlies prejudices, discriminations and power relations in society is directly linked to gender discussions. It is still necessary to place ourselves in order to occupy spaces, to strengthen our voices and to strengthen us individually – considering that women and the LGBTQ+ population are placed in positions of marginalization in society. We seek to bring diversity together and develop ways of becoming more inclusive, with the goal of not leaving anyone behind.

Goals: Strengthen gender discussions in society, with the aim of informing and mobilizing more young people to take part in this struggle.
